We, the editors, push on and adapt and it's business as usual for Adobe.īut this is where the strike comes in. The reason Adobe does not prioritize the hundreds of flaws and bugs that drive editors mad is that they are not showstoppers - at least not when regarded one by one. Those issues might be showstoppers, and therefore they get fixed. They have other more important fixes to fix, such as language compatibility in Japan and so on. The problem is a) Adobe doesn't understand these issues and b) Adobe doesn't have enough manpower to fix these issues. On top of these two flaws, there are hundreds more. Keep in mind that these two errors can be fixed in an afternoon - perhaps in less time than a single editor spends bashing their head against the keyboard in frustration over these issues on a weekly basis. Thousands of editors have complained, for years and years, but nothing is being done. These errors have been around for decades and nothing is being done. The top two errors when it comes to editing in PP and AE, in my opinion, are the NOT working Snap function (clips or layers fail to snap as desired) and the involuntary mask rotation when drawing masks. Let's force Adobe to fix the top 100 bugs and flaws by going on a World Wide Strike!
